Job summary

The Gardner School in Nashville, TN is seeking an assistant teacher to support the lead teacher in delivering age-appropriate curriculum and fostering a warm, safe classroom environment.

You will engage with children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, cooperating with a teaching team and families. The role emphasizes nurturing care, attendance, and professional conduct in a mission-driven preschool setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• 1+ years of experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Proficiency with basic PC skills and ability to perform administrative tasks.
• Ability to actively engage throughout the day including standing, sitting on the floor, bending, and lifting up to ~60 lbs.
