Job summary

The Goddard School located at Moore, OK is seeking a motivated Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and maintaining a safe, engaging classroom environment. Join a collaborative team dedicated to nurturing growth and a love of learning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Experience with young children in licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred.
• Demonstrates empathy and compassion for young children.
• Ability to work productively without supervision.
• Basic understanding of child development.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs in changing diapers/assisting children.

• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement.
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain a safe, clean, inviting learning environment.

Assistant Teacher Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster a sense of belonging.
• Assist in communicating with families about their child’s progress and daily activities.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment.
• Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred.
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children.
• Works productively without supervision.
• Basic understanding of child development.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children.
• Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements.
