The Goddard School in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a motivated Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in creating engaging, safe learning experiences. Bring energy, enthusiasm and a love for early childhood development to a collaborative team.

You will help implement age-appropriate lesson plans, engage children across social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth, and communicate with families about daily activities and progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Previous experience in licensed childcare or preschool is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions.
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean and inviting learning environment.
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster a sense of belonging.
• Assist in communicating with families about their child’s progress and daily activities.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment.
• Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment.

Assistant Teacher Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions
