Job summary

HTU is seeking a dedicated classroom support professional to assist teachers and students in Leesburg, FL. You will help with daily routines, planning, and classroom organization.

Responsibilities include monitoring student behavior data, recording progress, supervising transitions, and supporting documentation and reports. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree, has experience with children or adolescents, and works well in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school or special education setting.
• Interest or experience in vocational or hands-on learning environments is a plus.
• Ability to support students with behavioral and emotional needs in a structured setting.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Reliable, consistent, and able to work as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior programs and classroom systems
• Supervise students to ensure safety at all times, including bus duty, off‑campus activities, and transitions
• Support vocational programming as needed in coordination with the vocational team
• Supervise the classroom in the absence of the teacher when assigned
• Communicate with PHILLIPS staff and support collaboration across the team
• Assist with medication administration, data collection, and other program‑related tasks
• Attend meetings, trainings, and professional development as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
