Job summary

Children's Land of Glenview is hiring an Assistant Teacher to join a warm, team-oriented environment serving infants to kindergartners. You will assist in planning and evaluating thematic activities, tailor curricula to meet diverse needs, and maintain a safe, engaging classroom.

You will communicate regularly with families, participate in professional development, and collaborate with staff to ensure high-quality education and a nurturing atmosphere.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience assisting with teaching children in a preschool or similar setting.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with childcare regulations and safety.
  • Demonstrable understanding of diverse educational methods and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with empathy and nurturing.
  • Physical ability to engage actively with children.
  • Passion for early childhood education and fostering development.

  • Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and training workshops.
  • Help manage classroom resources, ensuring all materials are readily available and well-maintained.
  • Consistently monitor children to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a cohesive and effective learning environment.
