Qualifications

• 2+ years of child care experience with children under 5.

• Strong communication, customer service and problem‑solving skills under pressure.
• Excellent organization and multi‑tasking abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Able to interact with students of various ages and abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs for child handling and safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily class activities and ensure a safe, organized environment.
• Implement lesson plans focused on physical, social, and emotional development.
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain a welcoming learning space.
• Attend staff meetings and school functions as required by the Director.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned and work the closing shift.

We are currently looking for a dedicated Part-Time Assistant Teacher who is a fun loving and caring individual, with a passion for making a difference in the lives of young children. A teacher assistant is responsible for general classroom management and supervision, which includes the personal care, hygiene, and positive discipline of the children. The Teacher implements the lesson plans which includes activities for children that stress physical, social, and emotional growth and provides materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning activities and in active play. The Teacher prepares materials and classrooms for class activities and conducts all activities in a safe, organized, and productive manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Supervises and manages daily functions for a class of children

• A desire to make every moment a teachable one

• A commitment to nurturing, inspiring, and delighting the children in your care

• Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis

• Observes all rules and regulations pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children

• Maintains a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior at all times

• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must meet all requirements stipulated by the state for this position

• 2+ years of child care experience, specifically with children under the age of 5.

• Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality

• Highly professional and dependable

• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress

• Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Able to interact with students of all ages and skill levels

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
