Base pay range

$14.00/hr - $17.00/hr

Summary

The ideal candidate for the Infant or Toddler Assistant Teacher should be a high school graduate, at least 19 years of age, and have experience in an early childhood program. CPR and First Aid certification are a plus; other training and background checks will be required upon hire.

Duties

• Operate the classroom in compliance with Georgia child care licensing standards.
• Ensure routines like diapering, hand washing, eating, napping, and transitioning are prompt, hygienic, and developmentally appropriate.
• Maintain communication with parents about their child's experiences daily.
• Provide individual daily care, including diapering and scheduled feeding.
• Observe children for signs of illness, injury, emotional distress, or other needs and report immediately.

Requirements

• Enjoy teaching young children and possess a caring nature.
• Possess a strong work ethic, punctuality, and minimal absences.
• Capable of caring for children alone in a classroom physically and mentally.
• Effective communication skills with parents.
• Awareness of young children's needs and appropriate expectations.
• Ability to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children up to 50 lbs.
• Availability to work as early as 7:15 am or as late as 5:30 pm.
• Dependable transportation and ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to work year-round and work well with a team.
