Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
Assistant teachers are responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher in facilitating a well-run classroom. This position also involves the coordination and implementation of all classroom activities according to the standards of the NAEYC , DECAL , and the Child Development Lab.

Previous experience working with children ages birth to 5 years
Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults
Competency in using positive guidance in responding to behavioral challenges

Aid the lead teacher in the classroom throughout all daily activities and interactions with children. Ongoing supervision of children.

Daily assistance with diapering and/or toilet training while maintaining adequate supervision during bathroom times.
