Job summary

A local community YMCA in Kentucky is seeking an Assistant Swim Team Coach to support the development of its Competitive Swimming Program. The ideal candidate must possess relevant certifications, experience in coaching, and strong leadership skills to foster a safe and inclusive atmosphere for all participants. This part-time role requires availability Monday through Friday, primarily from 4 PM to 8 PM, along with weekends for swim meets.

Qualifications

• Current certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid & Safety, and CPR.
• Previous coaching experience with competitive or age-group swimmers preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing the Competitive Swimming Program.
• Provide leadership and instruction to swim team participants.
• Attend practices, meets, and team functions throughout the year.
