Job summary

Life Time Inc. seeking an Aquatics Assistant Swim Team Coach to help swimmers improve in indoor/outdoor pools, with supervision from the Head Swim Team Coach.

You will register new participants, write group workouts, and maintain facility cleanliness, while promoting Life Time programs. A 1-year coaching background and lifeguard credentials are required, with Life Time certifications completed within scope.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year swim coaching experience.
• ASCA Level 1 or higher preferred.
• Lifeguard certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Completion of Life Time Swim Instructor Certification.

Responsibilities

• Offer swimmers opportunity to master technique under head coach.
• Run daily practices as directed by the head coach.
• Promote Life Time products, services and programs.

Job description

Position SummaryAs an Aquatics Assistant Swim Team Coach, you must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will help our Swim Team members improve their swimming in our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and out. You will work with the Head Swim Team Coach to write and head Swim Team Group Workouts. You will help the Head Swim Team Coach register new participants for the Team and maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities. Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Offers competitive swimmers the opportunity to master technique
• Runs daily practices under the direction of the head coach
• Promotes all Life Time products, services and programs

Minimum Required QualificationsEducation:

• High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience:

• 1 year of swim coaching experience
• Member of ASCA
• Member of USA Swimming
• Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:

• Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.
• Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire
• Must complete all job specific requirements with Life Time Education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASCA Level 1 Certification or higher

Pay This is an hourly position with wages starting at $16.25 and pays up to $19.25, based on experience and qualifications.BenefitsAll team members receive the following benefits while working for Life Time:
