Job summary

Upper Merion Area School District is seeking an anticipated High School Girls Assistant Swim Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. The role requires collaboration with the head coach to plan and execute daily practices, coordinate meets, and supervise athletes across events.

The candidate will maintain pool safety, travel to away meets, and communicate with parents and staff while demonstrating sportsmanship. All required clearances and district requirements must be completed before employment.

Qualifications

• All required clearances, physical and TB test, and District requirements must be completed before employment.

Responsibilities

• Consult with the head coach in planning and executing daily structured practices focusing on competitive stroke mechanics, turns, starts, and finish strategies.
• Collaborate with head coach on overall program development.
• Supervise athletes before, during, and after meets, invitationals, and practice sessions.
• Organize home meets and invitationals with head coach.
• Maintain a safe environment on the pool deck, monitor athlete health, and enforce pool safety rules at all times.
• Travel with team to away meets and invitationals.
• Model and promote good sportsmanship.
• Communicate with parents, players, and athletic department staff.
• Must be availablefor morning, after-school, and weekend practices.
