You will implement MSHSAA standards, coordinate practices, supervise athletes, and pursue ongoing professional development through clinics and publications.

The role requires 1–3 years competitive swimming and completion of MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles Course and Sports First Aid, with seasonal work.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of competitive swimming experience.
• MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles Course completed.
• Sports First Aid Course completed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the swim program per MSHSAA standards.
• Attend MSHSAA sessions and support program coordination.
• Supervise student athletes at practices and contests.
• Assist with transportation, facilities, officials, and game management.
• Schedule practices to develop athletes' potential.
• Emphasize safety and injury management procedures.
• Model sportsmanship and ethical conduct during practices and contests.
• Assist in the systematic return of equipment per department handbook.
• Pursue professional growth through clinics and publications.
• Complete required coaching courses and 8 hours of professional development.
