Responsibilities

The Assistant Stable Supervisor assists with training new grooms and supervises employees in the absence of the Stable Manager. Key duties include cleaning stalls, assisting with horse care and medical treatments, and performing general facilities, pasture, and farm equipment maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or HSE
• At least three years of experience in a similar role with increasing responsibility
• A desire to lead and be part of a productive team
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to care for large animals and provide minor veterinary care
• Facilities maintenance skills
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Physical ability to lift 75 lbs., walk, and climb stairs regularly

Highly Desired Skills

• Knowledge of agriculture
• Ability to perform light mechanical repairs on farm equipment
• Proficiency with farm tools and equipment
