Job summary

MWH Constructors is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for the Fort Myers, FL area to support engineering, coordination and construction of civil, architectural and structural packages for a WWTP project and RO water treatment plant expansion. You will report to the Senior PM and help deliver on-budget, on-schedule work in accordance with contract documents.

Responsibilities include supervising site activities, coordinating with subcontractors, ensuring quality, and maintaining safety

Qualifications

5+ years supervising heavy civil construction projects.
Knowledge of civil and mechanical disciplines.
Cost control and scheduling knowledge.
Knowledge of computer systems (MS Word, Excel).
Ability to develop and maintain outstanding relations with Owner and subcontractors.
Experience with task closeout and punch list management.

Responsibilities

Supervise site work and concrete structures.
Plan and supervise manpower, materials, and schedules.
Coordinate with subcontractors and different teams.
Maintain liaison with engineering to ensure drawings and specs compliance.
Assist in resolving construction problems as required.
Monitor safety program compliance and enforce corrective actions.
Liaise with other departments to ensure materials, inspections, and support for schedule.
Review daily activity plans to ensure safe, efficient next-day work.
Inspect work to ensure quality and specifications are met.
Maintain safety focus and zero-accident mindset on site.
