Job summary

Erickson-Hall Construction Co. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to lead onsite construction activities at projects in Southern California, with duties including coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedule progress, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Owners, Architects, and Contractors and requires strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Commercial and Public Works experience preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and facility with numbers.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a busy job site environment.
• Ability to resolve issues independently based on project/company standards.
• Good judgment, logic, and ability to learn quickly.
• Must have good communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Procore and MS Project scheduling software a plus.
• A valid driver's license and acceptable driving history is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee onsite construction of assigned projects, coordinating subcontractors and multi-primes.
• Maintain positive relationships with Owners, Architects, Consultants, and Contractors.
• Supervise self-performed work items and update as-built drawings.
• Track costs and other items to supervise construction processes.
• Develop and update project schedules; ensure progress photos and daily reports are produced.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents and quality standards; review shop drawings and submittals.
• Assist Project Manager in identifying and estimating changes in the work.
• Lead the project safety plan implementation and coordinate with the project team.
