Job summary

Live Oak Contracting, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Superintendent to join our on-site team. You will support the Superintendent in planning, scheduling, and supervising multifamily construction to ensure safety, on-time delivery, and quality that meets our standards.

You will coordinate subcontractors, review drawings and specs, monitor progress, and assist with budget management and site safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years in multifamily or similar commercial construction.
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and scheduling software.
• Effective communicator with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in planning, scheduling, and supervising all on-site construction activities.
• Support review of drawings, specifications, and project plans for accuracy and compliance.
• Help coordinate subcontractors and ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Promote and enforce safety policies and participate in weekly site safety meetings.
• Monitor construction progress, identify potential risks, and assist in implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain jobsite cleanliness and organization to ensure a professional and safe environment.
• Build strong working relationships with project managers, trade partners, engineers, and inspectors.
• Participate in project closeout including punch list completion and final documentation.
• Represent Live Oak's mission and values through professionalism, communication, and teamwork.
