Job summary

Brinkmann Constructors is offering an Assistant Superintendent internship in Aurora, CO, through our Build program to gain hands-on experience in construction management. This role supports the Project Superintendent and exposes you to daily site operations.

You will collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and safety teams; review plans, specifications, and schedules; uphold safety standards; and help produce daily reports and progress notes while

Qualifications

• Pursuing Associate or Bachelor's degree in construction field.
• General knowledge of construction principles/practices.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings and schedules.
• Ability to present alternative solutions for complex challenges.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Superintendent in day-to-day project management tasks.
• Work with Project Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, subcontractors and the project team.
• Support site safety efforts and help maintain a safe, organized jobsite.
• Complete assigned tasks independently with guidance when needed.
• Assist with reviewing plans, specs, and project documents.
• Execute and enforce safety standards and procedures.
• Document daily reports, meeting notes, and progress tracking.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
• Participate in Brinkmann BUILD program events, trainings, site visits and mock bid.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Brinkmann Assistant SuperintendentInternsare responsible forassistingtheProjectSuperintendent in all aspects of the day-to-day management of a construction project.

• Work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and other members of the project team.

• Participate in project documentation, including daily reports, meeting notes, and progress tracking.

• Participate in Brinkmann BUILD program events,trainings,jobsitevisitsand mock bid.

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Pursuing education towardsassociate orbachelorsdegree in construction field

• General knowledge of construction principles/practices.

• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.

• Ability to understand and solve complex challengesin order topresent alternativesolution(s).

• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent communication skills,both written and verbal.

• Proficiencywith computer applications including Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior internship or work experience in the construction industry.

Working Conditions:

• The Assistant SuperintendentIntern’swork is primarily performed outdoors in various weather conditions with some exposure to health or safety hazards, including noise level may range from moderate to loud

• Moderate physical effort isrequired, including the ability to walk the job site, climb ladders and scaffolding, lift loads up to 50lbs, perform hands-on work when necessary

• While performing the essential functions of this position, the individual may use hands to handle,controlor feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.

Hourly pay for this position is $25/hr
