Job summary

Brinkmann Constructors in Missouri is seeking an Assistant Superintendent Intern to support daily project management on active construction sites. You will work closely with the Project Superintendent, subcontractors, and the project team to help delivery and safety.

This internship offers hands-on experience through Brinkmann BUILD program events, site visits, and training. Ideal candidates are pursuing construction degrees, with strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in construction or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication is essential.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Superintendent in daily construction project management.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and project team.
• Support site safety efforts and help maintain a safe, organized jobsite.

Responsibilities

Brinkmann Assistant SuperintendentInternsare responsible forassistingtheProjectSuperintendent in all aspects of the day-to-day management of a construction project.

• Work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and other members of the project team.

• Support site safety efforts and helpmaintaina safe and organized jobsite

• Complete assigned day-to-day work independently, seeking guidance and support when necessary.

• Assistwith reviewing plans, specifications, and project documents.

• Execute and enforce safety standards, processes, and procedures.

• Participate in project documentation, including daily reports, meeting notes, and progress tracking.

• Work effectively as part of a team.

• Participate in Brinkmann BUILD program events,trainings,jobsitevisitsand mock bid.

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Pursuing education towards associate orbachelorsdegree in construction field

• General knowledge of construction principles/practices.

• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.

• Ability to understand and solve complex challengesin order topresent alternativesolution(s).

• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent communication skills,both written and verbal.

• Proficiencywith computer applications including Microsoft Office suite.

• Key success factors include passion for the construction industry, self-motivated, strong work ethic, time-management, organized, detail-orientedand creative.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior internship or work experience in the construction industry.

Working Conditions:

• The Assistant SuperintendentIntern’swork is primarily performed outdoors in various weather conditions with some exposure to health or safety hazards, including noise level may range from moderate to loud

• Moderate physical effort isrequired, including the ability to walk the job site, climb ladders and scaffolding, lift loads up to 50lbs, perform hands-on work when necessary

• While performing the essential functions of this position, the individual may use hands to handle,controlor feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
