Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our on-site team on high-profile, large-scale projects. You’ll work closely with field leadership to drive project success from preconstruction through close-out, focusing on safety, quality, and schedule while developing leadership and technical skills on complex buildings.

Qualifications

4–6 years of experience in commercial construction.
Strong organizational and communication skills with a proactive mindset.
Familiarity with construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and document management.
Experience with project manager software (Constructware, P6, Timberline, etc.) advantageous.

Responsibilities

Keep Projects on Track - Support field leadership in maintaining budgets, tracking costs, processing billing, and identifying scope changes to ensure schedule and financial performance.
Stay Ahead of the Schedule - Help manage site logistics, support subcontractor orientations, and ensure schedules align with quality, safety, and sustainability goals.
Run the Details - Take ownership of documentation: submittals, RFIs, change tracking, quality checks, and project close-out.
Represent the Best - Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, always representing our company’s values and commitment to excellence.
