Job summary

MPI is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the construction of a 100,000-square-foot ground-up mixed-use development in Union, New Jersey. You will assist with day-to-day field operations, subcontractor coordination, site safety, schedule management, and quality control alongside an experienced project leadership team.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in commercial construction, proficiency with Procore, and a proven ability to manage multiple trades in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of construction experience, preferably within commercial construction.
• Currently serving as an Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent with a General Contractor.
• Experience working on ground-up commercial, mixed-use, office, healthcare, hospitality, or similar construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, quality control, and jobsite safety.
• Procore experience managing field documentation and project communication.

Our client is a growing Construction Management / General Contracting firm headquartered in Manhattan with additional offices throughout New Jersey. With a mid-sized team and a highly experienced leadership group, the company specializes in delivering complex commercial construction projects including corporate office interiors, healthcare facilities, hospitality, food service and preparation facilities, entertainment, and mixed-use developments.

• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across project teams.
