Michael Page US has partnered with a nationally recognized general contractor to recruit an Assistant Superintendent for Southeast-based, high-profile commercial projects. You will support the Superintendent, coordinate subcontractors, and help maintain quality finishes on flagship developments.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in commercial construction, familiarity with Class A interiors, and strong drafting and coordination skills.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial construction.
  • Experience on projects with Class A interior finishes.
  • Strong understanding of sequencing and trade coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Superintendent with day-to-day field operations.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and ensure work progresses on schedule.
  • Monitor quality control with focus on high-end finishes and craftsmanship.
  • Conduct site walks and proactively identify issues.
  • Enforce safety standards and company policies.
  • Maintain daily reports and project documentation.
  • Support scheduling, logistics, and trade coordination.
  • Assist with inspections, punch-lists, and project closeout.

Job Description
  • Assist the Superintendent with day-to-day field operations.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and ensure work is progressing according to schedule.
  • Monitor quality control with a strong focus on high-end finishes and craftsmanship.
  • Conduct site walks and proactively identify potential issues.
  • Enforce jobsite safety standards and company policies.
  • Maintain daily reports and project documentation.
  • Support project scheduling, logistics planning, and trade coordination.
  • Assist with inspections, punch-list management, and project closeout.

The Successful Applicant
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial construction.
  • Experience working on projects featuring Class A interior finishes.
  • Background in hospitality, Class A office, mixed-use, corporate interiors, or other highly finished commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and trade coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.Excellent communication and organizational skills.
