Job summary

Zimmermann's Kettle Hills Golf Course in Wisconsin is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to assist the maintenance team with daily course operations. This entry-level role emphasizes growth within the golf course maintenance trade and requires a strong work ethic and weekend/holiday availability.

You will support the Superintendent, lead seasonal crew members, perform pesticide and fertilizer applications, and help with irrigation and construction projects such as rebuilding tees and bunkers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in golf course maintenance or landscape maintenance.
• Experience running heavy equipment such as skid loader or backhoe preferred.
• Must be able to obtain pesticide license within 6 months and have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Taking direction from Superintendent in day-to-day golf course maintenance
• Assist in leading the hourly summer grounds crew and mowers
• Execute pesticide and fertilizer applications
• Complete irrigation repairs and maintenance
• Working on construction projects including rebuilding tees, bunkers, adding drainage and installation of additional irrigation lines
