Job summary

CRM Rental Management, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join the Mariner Towers Apartments in Buffalo, NY. The role supports the Superintendent in leading the maintenance team to keep the property safe, well-maintained, and resident-focused.

Requirements include 3+ years of maintenance experience, strong leadership, and knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and related trades. The company offers robust benefits and a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in leading the Maintenance Team to ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents.
• Maintain the physical condition of the entire property.
• Assist in leading and supervising the maintenance team.
• Maintain relationships with residents, vendors, and service professionals.
• Diagnose and perform minor, major, and routine maintenance.
• Handle inventory and ensure preventative maintenance.

Assistant Superintendent - Responsibilities:

• The Assistant Superintendent's primary duty is to assist the Superintendent in their duty by assisting in leading the Maintenance Team to ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and team members by maintaining the physical integrity of the property.
• Maintain the physical condition of entire property.
• Assists in leading and supervising the maintenance team.
• Maintain relationships with other team members and residents, suppliers, vendors, and professionals servicing the company or property.
• Diagnose and performs all minor, major, and routine maintenance.
• Handle inventory.
• Ensure preventative maintenance and safety protocols are established and met.
• Report Superintendent and Regional Director of Maintenance.

Assistant Superintendent - Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years full-time maintenance experience.
• Ability to supervise, teach, and motivate team.
• Knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting, and various appliances.
• Willingness to perform tasks required and to learn and grow.
• Confident, positive attitude, good communications skills, and an ability to interact with a wide range of people.
