Job summary

Structor Construction, LLC is hiring a Multifamily Assistant Superintendent to work under a Superintendent, taking ownership of scopes and areas while building toward full site authority. This development role offers mentorship and progressively larger responsibilities.

Responsibilities include supporting daily activities, completing logs and reports, conducting safety inspections, performing QA/QC, coordinating deliveries, leading daily crew huddles, and tracking schedule progress to identify

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of commercial construction field experience including lead or foreman time
  • Degree in construction science, construction management, or engineering - or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and details
  • OSHA 30-Hour, or willingness to obtain within 90 days
  • First Aid/CPR, or willingness to obtain
  • Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Assist direct daily activity for assigned trades, areas, or phases
  • Complete daily logs, field reports, and superintendent deliverables
  • Conduct safety inspections and stop work that doesn't meet standard
  • Perform QA/QC inspections and document deficiencies
  • Coordinate deliveries, laydown, hoisting, and site logistics
  • Lead daily huddles for crews and trade partners
  • Track and report schedule progress to catch impacts early

Position Summary

This is a development role by design: you'll run real work and be held to real standards, with direct mentorship and progressively larger scope.

  • Assist Direct daily activity for your assigned trades, areas, or phases
  • Complete daily logs, field reports, and superintendent deliverables
  • Conduct safety inspections in your area - and stop work that doesn't meet standard
  • Perform QA/QC inspections and document deficiencies through correction
  • Coordinate deliveries, laydown, hoisting, and site logistics
  • Lead daily huddles for your crews and trade partners
  • Track and report schedule progress so impacts get caught early
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
  • 2+ years of commercial construction field experience, including lead or foreman time
  • Degree in construction science, construction management, or engineering - or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and details
  • OSHA 30-Hour, or willingness to obtain within 90 days
  • First Aid/CPR, or willingness to obtain (scaffold, trench, fall protection, forklift a plus)
  • Valid driver's license
Working Conditions
  • Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.
  • The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying.
  • Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics, and tunnels and demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights; and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases; and all climate types including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc.
  • Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
  • React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
  • Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
