Job summary

Ulta Beauty in Chicago is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend products and services. This temporary role trains under Elite or Master Stylists for the first 3 months, then may begin servicing guests of their own, focusing on performance, people, and process.

The position requires passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and willingness to learn new techniques and product knowledge. Flex scheduling is expected.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license is required.
• Ability to perform hair services including cuts, color, styling, and extensions.
• Strong customer service and upselling skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and contribute to store goals.
• Assist senior stylists and train during initial months.
• Perform hair services and demos to drive sales and guest experience.
• Maintain sanitation and shop cleanliness.
