Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage guests, assess their hair care needs, and recommend products and services. This temporary role prepares talent for a stylist position and includes mentoring by an Elite or Master Stylist during the first 3 months.

After month three, the incumbent may begin servicing guests independently and performing a broad range of hair services, makeup, and extensions, while supporting store events and promotions.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Ability to perform a range of hair services and makeup applications.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage guests, assess hair care needs, and recommend products/services.
• Assist and train under an Elite/Master Stylist during probation.
• Perform hair services after three months, including design, color, styling, and updos.
• Conduct product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience.
• Maintain sanitation, safety, and salon operations per policy.
• Support in-store events and promotions to enhance guest experience.
