Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage with guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend products and services. This temporary role provides mentorship from Elite or Master Stylists and focuses on performance, guest service, and compliance during the first months, with growth toward servicing guests independently.

You will learn cutting, coloring, styling, makeup services while delivering an exceptional guest experience, supported by training and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license is required.
• Fundamental salon techniques in haircutting, coloring, styling, and related services.
• Ability to demonstrate, recommend, and sell pro hair care and makeup products.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and contribute to store goals related to retail and service sales.
• Assist mentor stylist with hair services and product recommendations.
• After 3 months, begin servicing guests independently.
• Demonstrate product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience.
• Support in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed about industry trends, products and services.
