Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend products and services. This temporary role trains under Elite or Master Stylists for the first 3 months, then guests for their own services. Passion for beauty, guest service, and a willingness to learn advanced skills are essential.

The position emphasizes performance, guest experience, and compliance with safety standards, with opportunities to advance as the stylist skillset grows.

Qualifications

Cosmetology license required.
Knowledge of latest salon techniques for cut, color, lightening, styling, texture, and makeup.
Ability to build and maintain client relationships and sales.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional guest service and contribute to meeting store goals.
Assist mentor stylist with hair services and product recommendations.
After three months, perform hair services and build a personal client base.
Demonstrate and sell pro hair care and makeup products.
Participate in in-store events and promotions and maintain salon cleanliness.
