Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage with guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend products and services. This temporary role prepares talent for a stylist position and is mentored for the first 3 months, then begins serving guests of their own in months 4–6. Passion for beauty, guest service, and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license is required.
• Basic understanding of the latest salon techniques and ability to develop skills in all service categories.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and meet store goals for retail and service sales.
• Assist mentor stylist in achieving sales and productivity targets for hair services and products.
• Perform hair services after month three, including hair design, color, texture, and styling.
• Demonstrate products and drive guest service experience during demonstrations.
• Support in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
