Shutterfly's JCPenney Portraits team in New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Studio Manager. You will help run a portrait studio, support the Studio Manager, and mentor staff.

You will capture engaging photos, engage with customers, schedule sessions, and ensure a safe, professional environment. The role requires flexibility for holidays and weekends, and a basic computer skill set.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in retail, photography, or service industry is preferred.
• Ability to work holidays and weekends.
• Basic computer skills including Outlook and Excel required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Studio Manager with the operation and management of a portrait studio.
• Capture images that are fun, spontaneous, and creative to exceed customers' expectations.
• Talk with potential customers and call existing customers to schedule and confirm sessions.
• Provide a delightful customer experience.
• Demonstrate professionalism and follow safety procedures to protect customers.

We are currently seeking an Assistant Studio Manager.

What You’ll Do Here

• Assist the Studio Manager with the operation and management of a portrait studio
• Capture images that are fun, spontaneous, and creative to exceed the customers’ expectations
• Talk with potential customers and call existing customers to schedule and confirm sessions
• Provide a delightful customer experience
• Demonstrate professionalism and show concern for the safety of customers by following established safety procedures

The Skills You’ll Bring

• Minimum 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1 – 2 years of experience working in retail, photography, or service industry strongly preferred
• Ability to work a varied schedule including holidays and weekends, as needed
• Intermediate computer skills (e.g., navigation, data entry, Outlook, Excel)
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Hourly Pay Rate: $19.50

This position will accept applicants on an ongoing basis until filled.

The compensation package for this role is based on multiple factors, such as job level, responsibilities, location, and candidate experience. The base pay ranges included below is specific to the locations listed, and may not be applicable to other locations.

New Jersey: [$18.51 – $22.24]
