Position Overview

This position is responsible for maintaining a structure inventory system which is comprised of plans of all state-maintained structures on the Illinois Highway System and for providing immediate reference including updates to Bureau of Bridges and Structures’ personnel and personnel from other agencies.

Essential Functions

• Assists in maintaining a structure plan inventory system in an efficient and orderly manner.
• Assists in providing an effective cross-referencing system for state-maintained structures.
• Assists, when needed, with organizing and maintaining the Bureau of Bridges and Structures’ file room system including combining electronic PDF files. Prepares correspondence and other structure related files for microfilm.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of two years of college in civil engineering technology, pre-engineering or a job related technical/science curriculum; OR two years of engineering experience.
