Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in structural engineering required; FE exam preferred.
• Internship or consulting experience preferred.
• Fundamental knowledge of structural engineering techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; CAD/BIM familiarity.
• GPA 3.0+ strongly preferred.
• EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in structural design from conceptual through design completion.
• Modify and review production drawings for various facilities.
• Design structural components per project manager needs.
• Apply basic knowledge of codes, theories and procedures in structural engineering.
• Assist with data collection and project-related research.
• Update drawings in CAD software.
• Assist with client presentations and shop drawing review.
• Perform field inspections, measurements or calculations.
• Support contract administration for design projects.
• Adhere to policies and standards.
