Job Description:

The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is responsible for assisting the general manager with the management of day-to-day operations of the store, while adhering to Global Partner's policies and procedures.

“Gauges” of Responsibility
  • Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit it by deadline.
  • Supervise, develop, train, and discipline non-exempt (hourly) employees, holding them accountable for operational standards.
  • Monitor shift cash handling and inventory. Assist in investigations of shortages/overages of $100 or less per month, as well as inventory variations of 0.5% of sales or less.
  • Maintain business records, review cashier accountability sheets, and records assigned by the General Manager and/or Territory Manager.
  • Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative duties as requested, adhering to all Global Partner's cash control policies.
  • Manage cash procedures including bank deposits and change orders.
  • Maintain Grand Opening Ready Standards according to Global Partner's store image standards.
  • Ensure high levels of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Ensure store security and safety; comply with all safety and environmental guidelines. Report issues to the proper authorities and management.
  • Ensure adequate gasoline levels and coordinate gasoline deliveries.
  • Engage in all company promotional initiatives.
  • Promote a high level of guest service.
  • Perform duties as required by company policies and procedures (including the Company Handbook) and any other duties assigned by your General Manager/Territory Manager.

Qualifications
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication, counting, reading, and writing skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work in varied temperatures, including outside and cooler environments.
  • Physical ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders/stairs, and lift up to 25 lbs. during a shift.
  • Access to all store areas, including sales floor, stock, and registers.
  • Minimum age of 18 years old.
Education
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Salary Range: $18-$19 per hour
