POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in promoting a customer and product-focused sales culture, managing sales operations, asset protection, and human resources functions to ensure a great customer experience and maximum profitability. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performance Culture
- Analyzes sales reports and KPIs to determine business needs; collaborates with Store Manager to execute in-store business and sales strategies.
- Establishes and communicates clear expectations, holding team and self accountable for achieving brand, performance, and behavior standards.
- Manages payroll and supply budgets.
- Oversees operational activities such as scheduling, audits, inventory, opening/closing duties, timesheet review, payroll, and merchandise flow.
- Handles financial activities including cash handling, price changes, and merchandise transactions, ensuring accuracy and policy compliance.
- Ensures compliance with laws, loss prevention policies, and operating procedures; trains associates on controls.
- Manages inventory receipt, dispatch, replenishment, and physical inventories.
- Maintains visual presentation, organization, and facility standards.
- Develops a high-performance culture, motivating the sales team to meet goals.
- Trains and coaches team members on product knowledge and selling techniques.

Customer Experience

- Assists in recruiting, hiring, and developing the team.
- Supports training programs and assesses performance.
- Addresses HR issues promptly and effectively.
- Recognizes and rewards outstanding employee performance.
- Ensures adherence to employment policies.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years retail management experience preferred
- Must be 18 or older
- Excellent communication skills
- Adaptability to technology
- Proven customer service and leadership skills
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
- Knowledge of store operations
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements:
- Constant walking/standing (67-100%)
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (1-33%)
- Frequent climbing (34-66%)
