Job Description:

General Function / Summary:

They embody the company’s values and ethics, supporting our mission. The Assistant Store Manager ensures outstanding customer service and regulatory compliance.

Essential Duties:

1. Serve and educate customers on the product portfolio, presenting options that meet their needs.
2. Escalate unresolved issues to the store manager, District Director of Operations, or corporate office.
3. Answer inquiries via telephone regarding questions, applications, or requests.
4. Perform outbound sales, courtesy, and collection calls in accordance with regulations and store expectations.
5. Respond professionally to customers, explaining solutions and making them feel supported.
6. Handle cash, manage cash drawer, deposits, and possibly bank pickups.
7. Balance daily batch receipts with sales reports and resolve discrepancies.
8. Verify customer information during transactions.
9. Process transactions accurately, including loans, check cashing, and Net Spend.
10. Comply with federal and state regulations, company policies, and complete required trainings.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or cash handling preferred.
• Strong communication and active listening skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance are required.

Physical Demands:

• Work in retail/office environment with extensive cash handling.
• Extended phone and computer use.
• Long periods of standing and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Travel / Attendance:

• Travel within the district using personal vehicle, possibly overnight or to neighboring districts.
• Work scheduled shifts as assigned.
