Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support store leadership and ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced retail environment. This role assumes full responsibility for the store during the Store Manager’s absence.

What You’ll Do

• Support the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations
• Supervise, train, schedule, and coach retail employees and volunteers
• Lead by example in delivering excellent customer and donor service
• Help achieve sales, production, and expense control goals
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organized store environment
• Investigate and document accidents, injuries, and safety issues
• Oversee merchandising, inventory flow, and sales floor presentation
• Address customer concerns and promote Goodwill’s mission and values
• Assume store leadership responsibilities when the Store Manager is absent

Schedule & Availability

• Weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday) is required
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and holidays
• Reliable transportation required for each scheduled shift
