Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Rothschild, Wisconsin to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and participate in opening and closing procedures.

You will also help train Store Associates, maintain store standards, and ensure safety and loss prevention protocols are followed. This role is full-time with an equal opportunity commitment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives (e.g., merchandise schematics) is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives related to store activities and documentation
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure store assets including cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure associates follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Keep store clean including bathrooms, floors, trash removal, and neatness
