Job summary

The Assistant Store Manager at Spencer's is responsible for establishing and maintaining Guest Services.

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability by developing staff, controlling expenses and shrinkage as well as all aspects of merchandising and inventory control in adherence with all Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and/or management experience is required.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains Guest Services standards.
• Supports the Store Manager in daily operations to maximize sales and profitability.
• Develops staff, controls expenses and shrinkage, and oversees merchandising and inventory control.
