Job summary

The Assistant Store Manager at Spencer's is responsible for establishing and maintaining Guest Services while supporting the Store Manager in daily operations to drive sales and profitability. You will develop staff, control expenses and shrinkage, and oversee merchandising and inventory control in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

This role requires leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.

Qualifications

• The minimum age requirement for an Assistant Store Manager is 18.
• The physical demands of the job require standing, walking, climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Prior retail and/or management experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining Guest Services.
• Supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability by developing staff, controlling expenses and shrinkage as well as all aspects of merchandising and inventory control in adherence with company policies and procedures.
