Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Generate Sales
- Produce sales gains by providing customer service.
- Meet or exceed Company Objectives in all individual statistics.
- Provide consistent, documented appraisals of sales performance, offering feedback on strengths and opportunities in line with Company Objectives.
- Adhere to visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with Dress Code Policy.
Control Expenses
- Protect Company assets within guidelines of LIDS Retail policies.
- Assist in preparing store schedules that ensure proper coverage and adhere to wage control policies.
- Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, pricing, and counting.
- Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping per policies and laws.
- Open and close the store as required, following procedures.
- Support and adhere to all policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Additional Duties
Supervise Associates
- Participate in training programs and adhere to sales and task goals.
- Assist in recruiting and training store personnel.
- Encourage compliance with policies, including inventory and property safety.
- Perform work of subordinates as needed.
- Communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
Job Requirements & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience.
- Ability to produce sales results and minimize loss.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers and relevant software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work with hands overhead.
- Standing for up to 100% of the work time.
- Ability to work independently.
Compensation & Education
Assistant store managers earn 10%-20% over minimum wage based on experience, with bonuses and discounts available.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
