Generate Sales
- Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service.
- Meet or exceed company objectives in all individual statistics.
- Provide consistent, documented appraisals of an associate’s sales performance, offering feedback on strengths and opportunities while aligning with company objectives.
- Adhere to visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Dress Code Policy.
Control Expenses
- Protect company assets within LIDS Retail policies.
- Assist in preparing store schedules that ensure proper coverage and adhere to wage control guidelines.
- Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, pricing, and conducting product counts.
- Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping per policies and legal requirements.
- Open and close the store following procedures outlined in the Operations P&P Manual.
- Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Supervise Associates
- Participate in training programs, set goals for sales and tasks, and conduct regular follow-ups.
- Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on operations and procedures.
- Encourage compliance with company policies, including inventory, funds, and property security.
- Perform duties of subordinates when needed.
- Communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent plus at least one year of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to achieve sales results while minimizing loss.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in operating computers and relevant software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work with hands overhead.
- Standing for up to 100% of work time required.
- Ability to work independently.
Preferred Job Knowledge & Skills
Assistant Store Managers can earn up to 25% above local minimum wage based on experience. Compensation varies with skills, experience, and location. PT Assistant Store Managers are eligible for monthly sales bonuses and a 40% employee discount.
Education
High School Graduate or Equivalent
