General Position Summary

• Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service.
• Meet or exceed Company Objectives in all individual statistics.
• Provide consistent, documented appraisals of an associate’s sales performance, offering feedback on strengths and opportunities in line with Company Objectives.
• Adhere to current visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
• Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Company Dress Code Policy.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service.
• Meet or exceed Company Objectives in all individual statistics.
• Provide consistent, documented appraisals of an associate’s sales performance, offering feedback on strengths and opportunities in line with Company Objectives.
• Adhere to current visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
• Maintain a professional appearance consistent with Dress Code Policy.

Control Expenses

• Protect Company assets within guidelines of LIDS Retail policies.
• Assist in preparing store schedules that ensure proper coverage and are within wage control guidelines.
• Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, updating prices, and conducting product counts.
• Maintain proper documentation and record keeping per policies and laws.
• Open and close the store following procedures outlined in the Operations P&P Manual.
• Support and adhere to all LIDS policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Additional Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in LIDS Training Programs, set and follow sales and task goals, and conduct regular follow-ups.
• Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on operations and procedures.
• Encourage compliance with company policies, including inventory security and property protection.
• Perform duties of subordinates as needed.
• Communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Required Knowledge & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent plus at least one year of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to generate sales while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers and relevant software.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and work with hands overhead.
• Standing for up to 100% of work time.
• Ability to work independently.

Preferred Job Required Knowledge & Skills

Assistant Store Managers can earn up to 25% above local minimum wage based on experience. Exact compensation varies by skills, experience, and location. PT Assistant Store Managers are eligible for monthly sales bonuses and a 40% employee discount.
