Position Overview

The Assistant Store Manager supports store operations by driving sales, supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service to meet company goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Generate Sales: Provide exceptional customer service to achieve sales targets and meet or exceed company objectives.
2. Supervise Staff: Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising store associates; provide performance feedback; ensure compliance with policies.
3. Control Expenses: Protect company assets, assist in scheduling, manage inventory, and ensure proper documentation and store maintenance.
4. Operational Duties: Open/close store as needed, adhere to visual merchandising standards, and maintain store cleanliness and appearance.
5. Compliance and Safety: Follow all policies, safety procedures, and legal requirements, including proper recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ year of retail supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to operate computers and relevant software.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Information

Assistant Store Managers can earn up to 25% above minimum wage based on experience, with potential store sales bonuses and a 40% employee discount.
