Job summary

Dollar Tree in Franklin Park, NJ is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and staff development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and help ensure a well-stocked, clean, and welcoming store environment.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to lead a team, and a commitment to safety and policy compliance. Experience in retail or grocery is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives, surveys, and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas clean and well-stocked.
• Protect store assets including cash.
• Ensure policies and safety guidelines are followed.
• Help supervisor with training and development of store associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
