Job summary

Family Dollar in Manchester, NH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You’ll help supervise daily tasks and ensure a smooth, welcoming shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environments preferred
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and climbing

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and communicate store-related information
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits), and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect store assets including cash and adhere to safety policies
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Foster a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and colleagues
• Ensure the store is clean and presentable; manage bathrooms, floors, trash, and general upkeep
