Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Fort Dodge, IA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandising, open/close procedures, and employee coaching to maintain a welcoming shopping environment.

This part-time role requires effective communication, ability to manage busy periods, and commitment to company policies. Prior retail leadership is preferred and training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret operational directives.
• Experience in retail or grocery store environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store area and observe company standards for cleanliness and appearance.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping.
• Protect and secure store assets and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Help supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Foster a positive, safe environment with professional interactions.
