Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics) required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and meet demands of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, recording payroll/scheduling/cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies; ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; foster positive, safe work environment.
