DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking an Assistant Store Manager – Off Field Operations to drive operational excellence behind the scenes, overseeing inventory, fulfillment, and stockroom execution. You will lead a Captain team and influence broader store performance to keep the athlete-ready experience across the floor.

Your role focuses on coaching, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with policies while developing teammates and delivering exceptional in-store service to athletes of all abilities.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of retail management experience required.
• Customer-focused experience acceptable.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Store Manager to develop and execute annual growth plans and forecasting.
• Directly manages Captains and develops the store team through coaching and performance management.
• Upholds merchandising standards and drives customer experience and loyalty programs.
• Leads training initiatives and builds leadership capability among teammates.
• Oversees staffing, payroll, and scheduling to align with budget goals and athlete traffic.
• Owns hiring decisions for Captain roles and guides interviewing and selection.
