Position Purpose

Assistant Store Managers in Training are learning the responsibilities and functions of roles such as Assistant Store Manager, Operations Assistant Store Manager, Night Operations Assistant Store Manager, and Specialty Assistant Store Manager. They support the Store Manager in developing strategies to drive sales and profitability through effective leadership and communication with associates.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise customer service initiatives, ensuring the store is well-stocked and organized. Support staffing, stock management, customer issue resolution, and service needs.
• Oversee store associates, including hiring, motivating, coaching, and performance management.
• Manage operations including sales transactions, back-end processes, receiving, stocking, and equipment maintenance, with a focus on safety compliance.
• Drive business analysis and merchandise planning by analyzing sales trends, collaborating with key partners, and supporting inventory management.

Reporting and Supervision

Report to a Store Manager. Upon completing training, gradually assume supervisory responsibilities over associates.

Travel and Physical Requirements

• Occasional overnight travel (<10%).
• Mostly sitting with opportunities to move; light lifting occasionally.

Working Conditions

Indoor environment, infrequent unpleasant conditions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Legally permitted to work in the U.S.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience.
