Job summary

Vans is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead a team of Brand Advocates and deliver a best-in-class customer experience at our New York store. You will partner with the Store Manager to drive profitability through engagement, merchandising, operations, and community connection, stepping in for the Manager when needed.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in retail or store leadership, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and a proven track record of coaching diverse teams, achieving sales

• 2+ years of retail or store leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Proven ability to drive sales and profitability while upholding brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and motivate a team of Brand Advocates to deliver best-in-class customer experiences.
• Partner with Store Manager to drive profitability through engagement, merchandising, operations, and community connection.
• In Store Manager’s absence, assume full store responsibility.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard high-caliber talent; provide ongoing training and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with policies and operational standards.
• Manage expenses, shrink, and visual merchandising to align with brand directives.
• Maintain stock levels and product replenishment; support inventory control.
